Cats finally able to communicate with their human slaves

EVIL: Cats will now be able to vocalise their dastardly plans to their human underlings.

AS we all know, cats are simply biding their time, waiting patiently for the downfall of humanity so that they can rise up and claim their rightful position as the planet’s furry overlords.

However, the fact that we’re wise to their shady machinations makes them no less adorable. We may now be about to get to know our moggies better than ever, thanks to a new collar which reportedly translates their meows, purrs and hisses into human speech.

‘Catterbox’ has been developed by Temptations Lab, “a research workstream dedicated to the future of fun times with your cat,” and London advertising agency adam&eveDDB, who collaborated to analyse cat vocalisations and associate them with human emotions.

The collar is 3D printed, coated in rubber lacquer, contains a microphone, speaker, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi technology, and even connects to an app on your smartphone for different-sounding voices.

“We’re fascinated by cats, so our mission was to get to know them better,” said Temptations global brand director Pete Simmons. “We’ve learned that an adult cat’s meow is how they communicate with humans and, by investing in this prototype device, we can start to improve understanding between them both.

Although its accuracy is somewhat debatable, this promises to be a fun way for you and your cat to grow closer.
