MTV’s Geordie Shore banned from filming in Magaluf after licence denied

MELTDOWN: Holly’s rant on Monday June 6 might never be aired following the filming ban.

Geordie Shore have been kicked out of Calvia, after Mallorcan authorities denied Lima Pictures the necessary documentation to film in the town.

Fans of the depraved show will be up in arms since the decision means that hours of unseen footage, including a ‘dramatic meltdown’ from long-term star Holly Hagan, may never see the light of day, since broadcasting of existing content is also included in the ban.

Local councillors consider filming of the show an “illegal activity,” as many who have seen it have attested for years, stating that they are “very vigilant with requests for licences that do not comply with the established rules.”

In this case they consider that the show is promoting a skewed image of the municipality, which is tricky to argue with when residents of the perma-tanned cast’s home town Newcastle upon Tyne have virtually disowned them over their lewd and embarrassing behaviour.

On Tuesday June 7, the crew hit a Magaluf nightclub, where they were permitted to film, with two cast members later taking a nap together by some bins in the street following a booze-fuelled evening.

The question must now surely be, if Magaluf is suddenly too highbrow for this lot, who else will have them?
