THE spate of balcony related incidents involving British tourists in Spain shows no sign of abating, as a 34-year-old man has suffered a cervical trauma after leaping from a third floor hotel room into a swimming pool in the resort of Sant Antoni de Portmany.
He apparently achieved sufficient velocity during his daredevil plunge to slam into the bottom of the pool, and was admitted to the Nuestra Señora del Rosario clinic the next day, with his injuries possibly leading to permanent spinal damage according to a police statement.
According to Ibiza press reports, the drama unfolded at the Marco Polo hotel on Thursday June 2, with the unnamed holidaymaker having remained in hospital since just after 10pm on Friday.
