The scene of the explosion in Istanbul today.
ONE parked car, packed with explosives was detonated as a police transport vehicle passed along a street in central Istanbul on June 7, leaving at least two dead and eight injured according to Turkish media reports.
A bus was destroyed and buildings were damaged in yet another attack in the city which seems to be a constant target, although it is too early to say whether this was a Daesh action or was undertaken by Kurdish separatists.
Whichever faction was responsible, it seems that although their target may have been serving police officers, the mode of attack was effectively indiscriminate, causing injuries to passers-by.
