Items recovered following the arrests, including a marihuana-filled suitcase.
THREE Spanish men have been arrested at Malaga Airport for allegedly attempting to send marihuana to London on a commercial flight, having successfully done so several times in the past.
Among them is a man employed as a guard at the airport, who apparently facilitated passage of hand luggage loaded with the drug through security controls, while his two accomplices were responsible for packing and travelling with the baggage.
The latter pair were apprehended as they tried to embark on a London Gatwick-bound flight carrying 4.5 kilos of marijuana along with £335 in pounds sterling and six mobile telephones.
A roll of €1150 in €50 notes was also recovered from the security guard’s vehicle.
