Irish teenager reports rape in Tenerife

A THIRTEEN-YEAR-OLD Irish girl on holiday in Arona, Tenerife, has reported being raped on the beach in the early hours of the morning.

The teenager, who was reportedly out in the Playa de las Americas nightlife area with her brother, told the police she had lost track of her brother at about 2am and been dragged to the beach and raped by a man of caucasian look, possibly a tourist.

After receiving attention at a medical centre, the girl went straight to report the crime to the National Police, which is investigating the case and searching for suspects although they fear the culprit may have already left the island.
