A HORDE of living dead is set to take over Calpe on the night of Saturday June 11.
Chaos will unfurl on the streets of the town from 11pm onwards, but fear not, it is all part of an alternative leisure event called Last Day Zombie which more than 500 people are expected to take part in.
Organised by a specialist company, Last Day Ocio Alternativo, the events are advertised as ‘more a fight for survival than a competitive game’ and have already enticed more than 3,000 people to take part in Altea, Crevillente, Malagon, San Vicente del Respeig, San Fulgencio and Alfaz del Pi.
During the night the participants, split into zombies and survivors, will travel the main streets of the town and invade various buildings and public spaces.
Players have to try to survive all night on the streets, pass between 15 and 20 different tests and find ‘vaccines’ before being ‘evacuated’ with the first to do all of this declared as the winner.
For more information on the event see www.lastdayzombie.com.
