AFTER 114 years of disappointment, Scottish football team Hibernian finally lifted the William Hill Scottish Cup on Saturday (May 21) following a very close match against Rangers.
Although the two were tied at 2-2, a late header by David Gray clinched the win shortly before the end, leading emotion to take over both on and off the pitch.
As thousands of Hibs fans spilled onto the grass, with groups of Rangers supporters confronting them in some areas, the teams had to leave the pitch and Rangers were eventually presented with their medals in the dressing rooms as the police were called in to clear the pitch before the team could return to receive the trophy.
