DIRECT: Delta are flying from JFK Airport to Malaga.
AMERICAN airline Delta has resumed direct flights between Malaga and New York, the only direct connection between the United States and Costa del Sol, following its successful debut last summer.
The company has upped its offering for 2016, with daily flights scheduled from Tuesday May 17, although there will be no Monday slot in the first week of operation.
Around 14,000 passengers used the inaugural service last year, which ran from June 29 until October 30, and the carrier aims to provide 2,700 weekly seats in 2016, an increase of 18 per cent.
The service will comprise a 210-seat Boeing 767-300, which will be in operation for five days per week, while a 164-capacity Boeing 757-200 will cover the remaining two days.
