JEWISH VISIT: The main speakers pose in the Piazza prior to the dancing.
A LARGE party of Jewish students visited Gibraltar on the afternoon of Friday, May 6 and were delighted with their welcome as they sang, danced and listened to speeches in the Piazza before moving over to Spain to enjoy their Sabbath evening meal.
Both Jaime Levy and Fabian Picardo were well received, especially when the Chief Minister joined them and danced in the Piazza whilst Chief Rabbi Hassid was listened to with respect and understanding.
Having journeyed via Poland and Spain, both countries with long if not always happy Jewish traditions, they clearly enjoyed their visit to the Rock and will hopefully recommend others of their faith to visit.
