A BRITISH woman was saved by a helicopter after plummeting 12 metres down a cliff in Menorca on Thursday May 5.
The 51-year old landed in an inaccessible rocky area, leaving firefighters and Guardia Civil officers unable to reach her, forcing deployment of the Coastguard’s rescue chopper.
The incident occurred in the Playas de Fornells urbanisation, and the casualty, who remained conscious throughout the operation, was transported to Mateu Orfila hospital suffering from a bruised hip and potentially a fractured rib.
