Pictures to celebrate Princess Charlotte’s birthday

PRINCESS CHARLOTTE has her first birthday today, May 2, and to celebrate the occasion the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have released a set of photographs of the royal tot. 

Four images have been released of the young royal at her home in Norfolk earlier this month and were taken by her mother Kate. 

Welcomed into the world on May 2, 2015, Princess Charlotte’s birth was anything but a quiet affair with her arrival making headlines around the world. 

!”The Duke and Duchess are very happy to be able to share these important family moments and hope that everyone enjoys these lovely photos as much as they do,” said a statement from Kensington Palace. 

Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana, who is named after her late grandmother and great grandmother, the Queen, has not been seen much as her privacy has been guarded during her first year and has only been seen once in public, for her christening. 

The photos document a sweet, smiley, child of one, dressed in an assortment of outfits whilst relaxed at home.
