Vueling spreads wings for new destinations

SPANISH airline Vueling is one of Spain’s premier companies and constantly expanding its wings in terms of business growth. Summer 2016 will see the low-cost flight provider increase its transport offering to 400 routes.

This is unprecedented and will be the first time in its history that Vueling performs on this level. The company already announced in March that it has hired 30 new pilots to service the demand.

In line with this development, Vueling are now looking to take on new staff for the positions of air stewards and stewardesses and have decided, for this purpose, to host a regional casting for the roles. The candidates were first interviewed in Sevilla, further employment selection rounds took place in La Coruna and will continue in Alicante, Gran Canaria and Tenerife.

The candidates are expected to be well-turned out, have a good command of English, and a real desire to work in this prestigious profession. Furthermore, they must have a BA degree or the equivalent in specialised Formacion Profesional courses.

Vueling was voted best low-cost airline in March 2015 by Air Transport News, beating other nominees such as AirAsia, EasyJet, GermanWings and Ryanair. During that year, it carried more than 17.2 million passengers. Since 2004, when the company established its first flying base in Barcelona airport El Prat, the airline has carried more than 90 million passengers.
