Foxes close in on title as Spurs falter

We still need to believe - Mauricio Pochettino.

LEICESTER City have one hand on the unlikeliest Premier League title after Tottenham Hotspur failed to capitalise on a first half lead to draw 1-1 with West Bromwich Albion on Monday April 26.

Craig Dawson scored at both ends, with his 33rd minute own goal giving a dominant Spurs the lead, but they later showed signs of their inexperience with a tense second-half display culminating in a headed equaliser from the defender.

With 17 minutes remaining, Spurs had time to find a second goal, but the pressure appeared to get to them as passes became rushed and several wild shots were unleashed.

To complete their misery Eric Dier was forced off with a possible head injury, while young star Dele Alli may be handed a retrospective ban following his apparent punch into the midriff of Baggies midfielder Claudio Yacob, which was not picked up by referee Mike Jones.

Spurs now face a daunting task, with the Foxes seven points clear at the top and requiring just a single win from their remaining three games to wrap up the title.
