Some of the hashish recovered during the ‘operation’.
THE Guardia Civil have apprehended a 35-year-old man from Nijar as he attempted to pass through customs at the Port of Almeria with 256 nuggets of hashish lodged in his intestines.
Agents noticed that one of the passengers disembarking from Nador, Morocco, was displaying signs of nervousness as they approached him, therefore they decided to perform a deep cavity search on the hapless smuggler.
In total, 1,709 grams of hashish were eventually expelled from the offender’s backside, and the man was subsequently taken to the city’s Court of Instruction Number 1 for further questioning.
