Fire strikes Benalmadena pet shop

FIREFIGHTERS were called to a serious blaze at a pet shop in Benalmadena this morning April 12 which is now under control but caused significant damage inside of the store. 

The Monini pet shop, which is in Calle las Flores, Arroyo de la Miel, is a firm favourite of locals and expatriates alike and the owners will be devastated by the damage which has left the shop cordoned off by the authorities. 

A small crowd gathered to witness the firefighters put out the blaze and lingered afterwards to speculate on the cause. At this point it is unclear what led to the fire but luckily no injuries have been reported and the structural integrity of the building, which has apartments above the shop, remains intact.
