The Bootleg Beatles in one of their many incarnations.

THIS year’s Gibraltar International Song Festival, which takes place on Saturday April 23 at the Tercentenary Sport Hall, has some very special guests performing during the show. The Bootleg Beatles, a British band, are hailed as one of the most successful Beatles Tribute bands in the world due to their longevity and popularity, having performed over 4,000 shows.

Since their formation in 1980, the Bootleg Beatles have toured all around the world, including a 60-date tour of the Soviet Union. They have also shared the stage with great British musical heavyweights like Oasis and performed at Queen Elizabeth II’s Golden Jubilee Party in Buckingham Palace. They have recently played gigs on the Acoustic Stage at Glastonbury festival.

Now on the premier European Festival circuit, it is a spectacular opportunity to have the pleasure of seeing the Bootleg Beatles, live, in Gibraltar. Tickets for the festival can be purchased online at www.gibraltarinternationalsongfestival.com or from the Gibraltar Tourist Office on Mackintosh Square.

The festival’s main aim is to raise funds for charity and promote Gibraltar as a touristic and cultural destination. The Finals Gala is broadcast live on the internet, potentially reaching millions throughout Europe, Latin America and Russia.
