Brutal killing of wild animals

THE shocking violent killing of a wild deer and a wild boar has resulted in two arrests in Cordoba. Two local residents have now been charged with two crimes against wildlife protection. 

The Guardia Civil made the arrests after the brutal killings of the animals were shared on an instant messaging service. Pictures and videos of the creatures being attacked with knives circulated. 

The two alleged attackers have now been detained for committing crimes against wildlife protection, under Article 335.2 of the Criminal Code. 

The incidents took place in the municipality of El Viso in Cordoba after research was carried out by agents belonging to the Nature Protection Service (SEPRONA) of the Civil Guard Cordoba.
