MOTOCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP: The first leg will take place in Zurgena.
THE Second Motocross Championship of Almeria is set to kick off this week. The competition, MX Almeria, will consist of six races which will take place in different locations in the province, more specifically Zurgena, Berja, Roquetas de Mar, Gador, Tabernas and Nijar.
The first leg will begin in Zurgena on April 3. In its first edition last year, MX Almeria had a high turnout, with almost 100 people participating in each of the different races, and organisers hope that this year they can take this interest even further to bring the sport one step closer to the general public.
Juan Alvarez, President of the Andalucian Motorcycling Federation, emphasised that “this championship was a revelation in Andalucia last year. We hope that we manage to reach the level of those in Cordoba or Sevilla very soon.”
