Heatwave to hit British shores
TEMPERATURES in the UK this weekend, April 2, are set to soar to those matching Barcelona´s, reaching the balmy heights of 18C.
Warm air and sunshine are predicted to sweep north from the continent to the UK. This will mark a striking contrast to the temperatures and violent storms seen over the Easter weekend when Storm Katie battered most of the UK.
On Sunday April 3, London will see the highest temperature with a peak of 18C whilst other areas southern and central England will only be a degree lower.
Madrid´s temperature this weekend, April 2, is forecast at 15C meaning the UK´s capital will outstrip its European neighbour in the heat department.
On Saturday the start of the mini heat wave will commence with temperatures 5C higher than the average for the year and Sunday will be 7C higher than the average.
Although expected to be short lived with temperatures in the UK returning to normal later in the week sun cream may be an unusual necessity.
