WHEN you enter Euronautica for the first time you will certainly be impressed with the amount of shiny new speedboats that are on display in a gorgeous and spacious showroom.

Within 28 years the family business Euronautica, located on the N332 in Calpe, has grown into one of the biggest nautical companies on the Costa Blanca. 

In 1988 owner Fred Versluys, together with his daughter Carella, started a small shop in the harbour of Calpe. They sold beach and fishing gear and rented out a couple of boats. That location soon became too small and the family business expanded. They now have 13,550m2 with an indoor showroom, office space and an internal storage. The outdoor space can store up to 250 boats. 

The mechanics are well trained and follow courses from Volvo Penta and Mercury Motors on a regular basis. They take care of the technical maintenance. Also polyester repairs and painting of boats are executed by their own experts. 

Due to the excellent location of Euronautica and their extensive network of distributors, the family business has become a major importer of American sports boats such as Larson and sub dealer Sea Ray. They also sell Ribs (rigid inflatable boats) and aluminium boats.  

Over the last three years, Euronautica has expanded to include the rental, purchase and sales of mobile homes under the name Nauticaravaning. With a wide choice of different types of mobile homes, the rental business is a huge success and the demand continues to grow.

Customers can now rent aluminium boats that hold a maximum of eight people. As an extra service Euronautica offers the possibility to get a licence, and in just two days time. 

This licence is valid for 15 years and counts for boats with a maximum length of six metres. Experience shows customers become interested in purchasing a boat or mobile home after they have had a marvellous boat ride or a comfortable camper trip.
