Easter Fun Day attracts more than 50 young volunteers

HM Government of Gibraltar

Volunteers and the groceries collected to distribute to the elderly and vulnerable

FOR the fifth consecutive year the Gibraltar Youth Service has teamed up with the Royal Gibraltar Police and the Care Agency to give young people the opportunity to contribute positively to the community.

This multi-agency approach saw more than 50 youngsters, with the full support of their families, involved in preparing and distributing food hampers to the elderly and the vulnerable living alone in both the Laguna and Glacis Estates.

This event demonstrated excellent inter-agency work and a positive community spirit developed by the young people of Gibraltar. Other activities took place on the day including music from the popular Youth Service DJ Reps, face painting, bouncy castles, arts and crafts and an Easter Egg Hunt.

The Gibraltar Youth Service sent a special thank you to all of the organisations who generously donated food items to support this worthy event.
