Rosell hospital will see services return this year

REOPENING: Corridors at Rosell Hospital will once again be busy as it has been voted to restore services at the hospital.

REOPENING of the Rosell Hospital in Cartagena has been voted for by the Regional Government of Murcia.

The motion was put forward by the PSOE, Ciudadanos and Podemos parties and was passed despite opposition from the PP.

The hospital was near total closure after the construction of the new Santa Lucia Hospital on the outskirts of the city, but now services will be restored and resumed allowing it to again become a fully functional hospital.

The first phase will mean the A&E department and operating theatres will be operational by the end of the year.

The PP opposed the ruling saying the budget needed to implement resuming all services at Rosell was not available following the spending cuts insisted upon by the same parties that wanted the Rosell to be Cartagena’s second general hospital.
