EMPLOYEES at Op de Beeck & Worth, insurance brokers in Marbella have achieved their fantastic goal of raising the impressive sum of €9,000 which will be split equally, between Debra España, Mary’s Meals and Asociacion Crece.

To signify the importance of social responsibility and to mark the team’s achievement, Director Danni Worth, presented a cheque to the charities on March 17 at Op de Beeck & Worth’s office in Marbella, attended by employees and members of the press.

Over the last 10 years, Op de Beeck & Worth has been actively involved in local, national and international fund raising. Since 2015, the company has donated €1 from each policy sale or renewal to the fund, and Danni raised in excess of €14.000 last year for Mary’s Meals by cycling the Camino de Santiago with his son Tom.

Danni commented, “We are delighted to be involved with such important local and international charities: Debra España raises money for vital research into the debilitating genetic fragile skin condition – Epidermolysis Bullosa. Mary’s Meals plays a vital role in providing food to starving children throughout the world, and Asociacion Crece de Marbella helps children with behavioural, emotional and learning difficulties, by giving them the opportunity to attend a dedicated school and to continue their growth.

“Op de Beeck & Worth as a company is passionate about social responsibility, and I personally take every opportunity – time permitting – to raise money to help those less fortunate than us, in our local community and farther afield. We look forward to continuing our fundraising, as a team, and individually.”
