ALMERIA PORT expects more than 30,000 cruise passengers to visit
THE PORT authority of Almeria has predicted the arrival of more than 30,000 passengers on cruise ships and the council has jumped on the news as a means of boosting local tourist sites and business with all the tools they need to reap the rewards.
Cruise traffic has been steadily increasing over the years and now 36 ships are expected to stop in the capital throughout 2016. The first to arrive will be the German ship ‘Berlin’ which has a capacity of 412 passengers.
