COUNCILLOR for Public Safety Angelica Pastor is encouraging Local Police to remain calm in the face of threats, due to the recent scandal involving some officers.
A press conference was called following the appearance of threatening graffiti at the home of Marto Capo, General Director of Public Safety. Pastor said that they were confident in the justice system and its ongoing investigations into the scandal.
Pastor added that threats would not stop officers from performing their duties, and that the majority are people who work to provide a public service to citizens. Pastor said that the rest of the force should be given the dignity to perform their normal duties.
The defunct Green Patrol division of the Local Police force is currently being investigated for abuse of power and illegal activities.
