Andalucia, Almeria and the Alcazaba

ACTIVITIES: Will be held at the Alcazaba and the Almeria Museum.

ALMERIA Town Council Culture Department has scheduled a number of activities to take place in the attractions and archaeological monuments of the city, in order to celebrate Andalucia Day this Sunday February 28.

Alcazaba and Almeria Museum will participate in the celebration by holding different activities such as guided visits, child workshops, thematic itineraries and theatre performances.

Specifically, on Sunday February 28 a thematic visit has been organised in the Alcazaba in order to take a deeper look into the history and the construction of the building.

The itinerary will go through parts of the Alcazaba that are not normally open to the public like the rooftop or the keep.

Two visits have been scheduled, one at 10am and another at 12pm. There are only 30 spaces and anyone interested in participating has to register by calling 600 142 982.

On February 29, another guided visit to the Alcazaba has been scheduled starting at 11.30am. There are 50 spaces for the visit which will be filled as soon as people arrive. At the same time, there will be a handicrafts workshop aimed at children and parents. There are 100 spaces for this activity.

On the other hand, Almeria Museum has organised several activities like art exhibitions, guided visits, children’s workshops and theatre plays that will take place until February 29.
