Marbella test drives the new Porsche 911

NEW Porsche 911 Carrera.

THE new Porsche 911 roared into Marbella as the luxury German car manufacturer selected the Golden Mile’s Hotel Don Pepe to show off the seventh generation model before a prestigious group of elite VIPs.

Test drives of a variety of new models, from the Carrera to the 4S, were extended by invitation to just 60 lucky people who received subtle driving tips to take full advantage of the mechanical monster.

The exhibition then moved on to the billionaires’ row of La Zagaleta, where the drivers revealed their first impressions and swapped vehicles with one another for the return leg.

Many of the participants were foreign entrepreneurs and just under half of them women to lend a glitzy air to the event.

The new Porsche model is available for purchase later this year with the cheapest coming in at more than €100,000.

The selection of Marbella was a targeted choice, focusing on the luxury showroom market and the city’s fascination with wealth.
