Tapas in Alhaurin El Grande

DESPITE the fact that Lent is supposed to be a time of abstention and fasting, the Tourism councillor for Alhaurin El Grande, Maria Rosa Morales has announced that no less than 30 establishments will take part in the Tapeando en Cuaresma (Tapas in Lent) promotion which will run from March 4 to 13.

With a tapa and drink available for just €2, the council hopes to attract tourists to the quaint town and expects to out-perform the success that was enjoyed in 2015.

This activity is included in the local strategy plan for trade and tourism development and is aimed to promote tourism and trade as well as to improve the food and drink consumption in the town.
