ON FEBRUARY 11, the Royal Gibraltar Police (RGP) revealed that it had received the prestigious Gold Investors in People accreditation.
Investors in People (IIP) is an international standard for personnel management and lays down guidelines as to how any organisation should run with defined expectations and review. It has become much sort after and the Gold award has been granted to 14,000 companies and organisations in 75 countries worldwide.
The Royal Gibraltar Police gained its first accreditation in 2008, then in 2012 progressed to Bronze accreditation and has worked its way up to the much admired Gold accreditation that was recently awarded.
About the granting of this accreditation, the Commissioner of Police, Eddie Yome said: “This is a great honour for the RGP and we are absolutely delighted that we have been granted the Investors in People Gold Standard. This is an excellent result and. the expert who visited us gave a very positive assessment, in which he stressed that the work carried out over the past three years was to be applauded.”
