Beat plummeting temperatures with a cosy sweater

FEBRUARY 2016 ushers another cold snap into Spain as temperatures plummet and clouds roll in.

Down on the Costa del Sol, sun-worshippers may have to dig out a sweater as the mostly  temperate climes witnessed in December and January give way to cloudy skies, bracing winds, showers and a distinct nip in the air.

According to reports from online forecaster AccuWeather, Southern Spain will see lots of showers between February 10 and 14, after which the sun will make a forceful return but temperatures will stay relatively low until mid-March.

Based on a historical average, from March 19 onwards, temperatures will creep back into the 20s and winter will have officially passed.
