Presentation of Mayor’s Awards

AS ANNOUNCED on January 5, His Worship the Mayor Adolfo J Canepa OBE GMH MP presented seven Mayor’s Awards at a special ceremony held at City Hall on January 28.

His Worship the Mayor and the board for the Mayor’s Awards have extended the New Mayor’s Awards Scheme to widen the nominations to persons or groups who have served Gibraltar in a distinguished manner over a prolonged period and/or for a specific event or achievement.

Awards were presented to the individuals, Louisville Ghio, Pepe Fabre BEM MBE, Hector Cohen MBE and Joe Jurado BEM as well as group awards to the Gibraltar Cheshire Home Support Group, Bosom Buddies Cancer Trust and Gibraltar Community Association.
