FC Barcelona superstar Neymar Jr said one day he would like to play in the United States and that Pep Guardiola was the manager he’d like to work with.

The Brazil striker, currently part of a dazzling Nou Camp strikeforce with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez, was speaking as part of the build-up to Neymar Jr’s Five tournament, a unique five-a-side event with teams from 35 countries competing.

After a series of global qualifiers, the Neymar Jr’s Five final will be played in his home country in Praia Grande in July.

In a wide-ranging interview with the Red Bull Content Pool in Barcelona, Neymar Jr explained how difficult the transition to European football had been and his high hopes for a first ever Olympic gold medal for Brazil in the men’s soccer in Rio de Janeiro.

When asked which coach he would like play for he was in no doubt.

‘Yes there is one: Guardiola is a guy that I really admire and that I would love to work with,” he said.

As for later in his career, Neymar Jr said there were two places he was thinking of extending his playing time.

‘It’s tough to say if I want to play in other countries… nobody knows about tomorrow, but I’m very happy where I am right now, at Barcelona.

‘I have the will to go back to Brazil some day and I also would like to play in the USA… those two countries are two where I want to play later in my career.’
