Meeting for foreign residents in Benitachell

MEETING: Questions and answers at town hall.

BENITACHELL residents were recently able to learn firsthand about the changes planned for the town.

The Urban Development Plan (PGOU) and all documentation involved were put on display at the town hall and the municipal website last October.

Nevertheless many of the technical details needed clarification for Benitachell residents and two meetings have since been held at the town hall to answer queries and clear up the doubts of the local population.

One was for Spanish residents and another was specifically aimed at Benitachell’s British and German population who were able to express their concerns in their own language with the help of Benitachell’s councillor for Residents, Dirk Rheindorf.

The new PGOU has no plans for exaggerated growth and is outstandingly more respectful towards the environment and the town’s traditional rural landscape than the previous plan, the town hall explained.
