Mijas Pueblo.
A PLENARY session at the Mijas Town Council will take place in February to formulate the guidelines for constructions and urban spaces in the historical centre of Mijas Pueblo. A new Special Plan of Interior Reform Protection (PEPRI) has passed initial stages and is due for definitive approval at the session.
Councillor for Urban Planning Andres Ruiz explained that the PEPRI will be included in the Mijas urban plan to “maintain the criteria of the historical and artistic combination and showcase this eminent touristic village.” The plan will mean that licences to build in the area will be awarded by the town council directly, rather than through the Junta de Andalucia regional government.
