Lockers belonging to medical personnel.
THE GUARDIA CIVIL have charged a 50-year-old man with theft and causing criminal damage at the Hospital Comarcal Santa Ana in Motril.
A report from January 21 alleges that the accused, who has a criminal record, used a screwdriver to gain entry to eight lockers belonging to doctors and medical specialists at the hospital, before forcing the locked entrance door of a Psychiatry wing and stealing equipment including a flat-screen TV, three cameras, a mobile phone and other items.
The stolen items and damage to hospital property are said to amount to €1,208. The head of security at the hospital reported the break in, which happened in the early hours, to the Guardia Civil.
Investigating officers swiftly identified the suspect and made the arrest, before charging and then releasing the man pending an appearance before magistrates.
