A BRITISH holidaymaker has died after falling from a second-floor hotel balcony at 3am in the morning of January 21. He was staying at a hotel apartment near the Plaza del Duque shopping centre in Adeje, a town in the southwestern part of Tenerife.
Investigating officers have still not released the man´s full name but he is said to have the initials G.R.
After receiving an alert about the accident, local emergency services confirmed that they had “activated an immediate emergency response and sent an ambulance to the scene with trained paramedics.” However the severity of the man´s injuries resulted in his death shortly after their arrival.
A local police spokesperson said that no other person was present in the holiday apartment when the accident occurred.
The Foreign Office released a statement to say they were “providing support to the family of a British national.”
It is expected that the cause of death will be established by an autopsy.
