Costa de Sol hits the small screen

THIS week the stunning Costa del Sol featured on popular Channel 4 programme A Place in the Sun once again with Estepona flaunting its natural beauty to viewers back in the snowy UK. 

Presenter Johnnie Irwin explored five incredible properties with retired couple Mandjit and Cathy Jandu, who are hoping to find a homely villa with their ample £300,000 (€390,000) budget.

The edition aired on January 20 and is part of the long running show’s Winter Sun series and follows last week’s feature on Mojacar, Almeria. 

The Costa del Sol is naturally a well-established favourite of the show’s producers who have often flown out to Spain to showcase the region with Benahavis, Benalmadena, Marbella and Sotogrande all featuring throughout its history. 

Doing its part for wider recognition of the coast’s hidden charms, the show has highlighted new developments, an outdoor lifestyle, improving infrastructure,  and world class facilities.
