General Elliot II back in service.
THE GIBRALTAR Port Authority (GPA) announced on January 18 that its port launch General Elliot II had returned to service after an extensive refit undertaken by MH Bland.
According to the CEO and Captain of the Port, Commodore Sanguinetti, “This represents a significant enhancement in our ability to patrol our busy waters, discharging our responsibilities in safety of navigation, search and rescue, environmental protection and supporting other government departments and agencies.”
Minister for the Port, the Hon Paul Balban also said: “This project reinforces this Government’s commitment to our thriving port, a key pillar of Gibraltar’s economy, and highlights the strength of the GPA’s relationship and partnership with the wider port community.”
