THE Guardia Civil station of Algarrobo is being closed down due to reorganisation, which in the meantime will leave the town without officers in the area.
The town council, however, does not want to be left without the presence of Guardia Civil officers. The council has unanimously approved a proposal submitted by Partido Popular (PP), against the closing of the local station.
The current plan is to give increased focus to the headquarters in Torrox, but many Algarrobo council members want to know what these proposed changes will mean for the future of Algarrobo.
