La Herradura improves access to urbanisations with a new ramp

THE residents of the Bahia Jardin and Casa Fuerte Urbanisations in La Herradura will no longer have to carry out detours of hundreds of metres thanks to the construction of a new ramp. 

Previously, residents who wanted to access the urbanisations from Calle Acera del Pilar could only get around the Espinar Stream in a roundabout way due to a difference in levels. 

Head of La Herradura Council Office Juan Jose Ruiz Joya explained that this initiative, carried out over the course of multiple operations, was undertaken over the last few weeks owing to the stop in traffic due to the installation of a new drainage system in the Calle Acera del Pilar.

Joya added that the work has not only consisted of a ramp, but also a widening of certain parts of the route and a change of lighting in the whole area.
