Blue and Yellow bins.
AS PART of a campaign to educate children and the young about the need to recycle and the correct use of blue and yellow containers, the campaign ´ReciclaX2´ promoted by Ecoembes will be visiting a number of towns in the Costa del Sol including Estepona, Fuengirola and Mijas, but on Saturday January 9 it visits the city of Marbella and will be at the promenade 11am to 2pm and from 5pm to 8pm.
According to the Marbella council, between 150 and 200 young people are expected to visit the special stand which will distribute leaflets explaining the benefits to the environment when waste is properly separated, and as an added incentive, there will be a recycling roulette where the children will have opportunity to win prizes like pencil holders, bracelets, magnets or t-shirts.
The children will also be able to participate in the programme ‘Planeta Tapon’, a new recycling workshop in which they will use their imagination and creativity to make objects using only recycled waste.
