GUIDED TOUR: To learn about the Phoenician remains.
THE Culture and Tourism Department of Cuevas del Almanzora Town Hall organised a trip to the Phoenician Necropolis in Villaricos for students.
Students attending the Tour Guide, Information and Assistance Higher Training Course at the Jaroso Secondary School in the town took part and learned more about the Phoenician remains from archaeologist Laura Larios. She guided them around the site, which was discovered by Luis Siret in the late 19th century.
Anyone interested in visiting the site can obtain more information from the local Tourism Office or by phoning 950 548 707.
