New liqueur: Mangou has been launched by a local company.
A NEW alcoholic mango drink is hitting the shelves of Axarquia. The drink, named Mangou, has been launched by Malaga Company Sabor a Mango SL, a family-run business dedicated to the commercialisation and transformation of the subtropical fruit. Three thousand bottles of the drink can now be found in the Club Gourmet section of El Corte Ingles.
Sabor a Mango was started by Juan Carlos Picon and his father. Picon described the new drink as “a creamy liqueur, fruity, with a very personal texture, very sweet, with the authentic flavour of mango and a very subtle touch of the best alcohol.”
In the past, Sabor a Mango has also manufactured a mango-flavoured jam. As for the future, Picon and his father say that they have many new surprises, and that they are sure their customers will not be disappointed.
