SPENDING: One of the areas where most is spent is on food.
Families in Andalucia estimate they will spend 3 per cent more on Christmas this year, according to the Andalucia Consumer Union.
Based on the results of their survey throughout all eight Andalucian Provinces, spending on the Christmas lottery, food, gifts, leisure activities and other matters are expected to rise for the third year running.
One of the areas where most is spent is on food, representing 32.07 per cent of the total, with an estimated average of €142.
Households in Almeria plan to spend just €98.5, the lowest amount in Andalucia.
Meanwhile, 32.1 per cent of the total budget is due to be spent on gifts, at €142.55. Residents of Almeria will spend the least, with €98.75.
The amount which will be spent on leisure activities may fall to €84.37 on average. Almeria has the lowest with €48.98.
