THE Nerja Cave Foundation has unanimously approved the different items that will make up next year’s budget.
The 2016 budget will include €130,000 for research, twice as much as the foundation had over the current year. Added to this amount is another €146,000 for conservation and maintenance.
The Nerja Cave Foundation is currently operating at a surplus, mainly thanks to the increase in visitors to the cave and the Nerja Museum.
As of January 2, the Nerja Cave and Museum will also have a new schedule, and will be open to the public from 9am to 4pm.
