Alicante area doing well in Christmas Lottery

WHILST everyone awaits the draw for El Gordo, it is interesting to note the number of winning tickets for smaller prizes that have been sold in the Alicante area.

The most successful is for a €60,000 fifth prize where it appears that every single ticket for number 51688 was sold in the area of El Campello, a relatively prosperous town with around 27,000 inhabitants so there will be a number of fairly happy people celebrating decent if not life changing wins tonight.

Also at least one winning ticket for fifth prize 18102 was sold in historic Villajoyosa with its population of around 33,000.

There is a fourth prize winner 52215 which receives €200,000 as well as a second prize winner 12775 winning €1,250,000 also both in Alicante.

So far the Costa del Sol and other areas covered by Euro Weekly News have not seen any prizes drawn but there is still plenty of time for one or more of our readers in other areas than Costa Blanca North to have any extremely good Christmas and New Year.
