LA VIÑUELA: Reservoir is the largest in the province.
PP PRESIDENT of Malaga Provincial Council Elias Bendodo has announced that the central government will spend €20 million on a water pipeline connecting Axarquia to the western part of Malaga Province.
Compared to the west, Axarquia has greater water demands due to the overall lack of rain in the area. The 18-kilometre pipeline would run from Campanillas to Rojas.
Bendodo said the pipeline could help solve water supply problems in the east, and pointed out that although the western part of the province has more rainfall, the east has more water storage facilities. The Viñuela Reservoir in Axarquia is the largest in the province.
