Stuart Hall in happier times.

DISGRACED former TV presenter and convicted paedophile Stuart Hall was released from prison on December 15 in a somewhat bizarre sleight of hand by prison authorities when he was quietly transferred from one prison to another before being released in the dark in an apparent effort to defeat the press.

He had served just half of his five year sentence and has been released ‘under license’.This means that he will have to follow strict guidelines with regards to his movements and will also have to report to a probation officer on a regular basis.

There had been some speculation in the media that he and his wife would wish to move to Spain where they have spent some time but the terms of his license require him to stay in the UK for at least the next 15 months.

Whilst he will celebrate his 86th birthday on Christmas day, his victims have made their feelings concerning both the initial sentences and his release quite clear.
