Death of elderly motorcycle rider

THERE was a very unfortunate accident on December 16, when an elderly man, identified as local resident Mr John Victor aged 70, fell off of his motorcycle in Line Wall Road near the American War Memorial and died.

The Royal Gibraltar Police attended the incident and closed the road whilst they investigated but as no other vehicles were involved, they can at this stage only speculate as to the reason for his fall and subsequent demise.

As is the case in any unexpected death, a coroner’s investigation will take place.
